Learn to Surf with Lessons from Tofino Surf School

Tofino Surf School offers surfing lessons throughout the entire year, 7 days a week.

Hours of Operation and Available Lesson Times

Summer (June - September):

Open: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Lessons: 9:00am to 12:00pm

2:00pm to 5:00pm

Winter (October - May):

Open: 10:00am to 5:00pm

Lesson: 11:00am to 2:00pm

Beginner Group Lesson

$75 / person • 3 hours • 12 years & up

Everything you need to know to get you started in surfing and safety in the ocean. We have a 1:5 instructor to student ratio for our beginner surf lesson.

Family Group Lesson

$80 / person • 3 hours • 6-11 years old

Parental accompaniment required
Maximum 5 people per lesson
Designed for families with young children

Intermediate Group Lesson

$85 / person • 3 hours • 12 years & up

Learn how to duck dive, read and select waves, bottom turn and trimming.

Maximum 5 people per lesson

Private Group Lesson

$100 / person • 2.5 hours • 12 years & up

Our private surf lesson is designed for a small group setting and catered to the group's skill level.

Maximum 5 people per lesson

Private One-on-One Lesson

$125 / lesson • 2.5 hours • 12 years & up

Enjoy a private lesson with your own instructor that is catered to your individual skill level.

All the above surf lessons include all the equipment necessary for the duration of the lesson and includes the transportation of said equipment to and from the beach.

Surf Guide

$35 / hour

Not from around the area but already know how to surf? Hire one of our surf guides to give you some insight to the local beaches. One hour or the entire day, you decide. Equipment and transportation is not included.

All prices subject to applicable taxes.

All participants are required to sign a release of liability and indemnity agreement.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellations within 48hrs of a scheduled lesson booking or a failure to show up will incur a charge of $20 per person.
