Jeff Hasse - aka Jeffro

Jeffro is the most stoked surfer in Tofino...  no really, just ask anyone!!!  Jeffro can make anyone excited about surfing and can even get veteran surfers fired up to surf bad waves.  Jeffro grew up in Toronto and learned to surf on the epic waves of Lake Ontario.  He made the trek to Tofino in 2001 and has never looked back.  Jeffro has been teaching people how to surf for over 10yrs.

As surfing is Jeffro’s first love, it was only right that he start Tofino Surf School in 2008 and share his passion for surfing with absolutely anyone.

Estuardo Ventura

Estuardo was a fish in his last life, which is probably why it is so hard for us to keep him on dry land.  Originally from Guatemala (100% chapin), with a few stops along the way, Estuardo moved to Vancouver in 1992.  He essentially grew up in the water as a competitive swimmer and water polo player, since the age of 9.  He has over 15yrs of coaching and instructing experience.

After spending lots of time traveling to all corners of the world, Estuardo first encountered surfing while backpacking around South Africa in 2001.  Over the next several years and a few more travel adventures, his passion and love grew for surfing, which finally landed him in Tofino in 2005.

DAN MAJOR

Dan, now known as Danimal, is our full-time instructor hailing from the beautiful land of New Zealand.  A young kiwi who's passions include surfing (obviously!), skiing (about to expereince real sized mountains this upcoming winter), making pizzas and jogging around Tofino at 4am.
